Alutrade becomes GGF aluminium recycling partner of choice
We’ve joined forces with The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) to provide its members, FENSA-approved installers and BFRC manufacturers with free aluminium recycling services.
The partnership has enabled the GGF to expand its free recycling scheme to cover aluminium as well as PVCu. As a result, GGF, FENSA and BFRC members can now arrange for us to collect any deglazed old aluminium frames and offcuts from their sites within 72 hours.
“We’re delighted to help offer this much-needed service to GGF members, FENSA-approved installers and BFRC manufacturers,” explains our Commercial Manager, Ed George.
“Aluminium is virtually 100% recyclable and recycling it for future use takes just 5% of the original energy needed to produce primary aluminium. So dedication to recycling aluminium brings benefits, not just to the individual members using the scheme, but to the credentials of the entire sector.”
GGF, FENSA and BFRC members across England, Scotland and Wales can arrange for their aluminium to be collected online as part of the new partnership. They will be paid directly by us for any aluminium we collect.
“We are all about collaboration and working with industry leaders and partners to ensure our members have access to the best products and services that can help their businesses thrive,” says Anda Gregory, Chief Development Officer at the GGF.
“Expanding the free recycling scheme we offer our members to now include aluminium, as well as PVCu, is an example of how we are always looking to develop and grow our offering, so that our members’ businesses can do the same.”
